ATAG, the Dutch manufacturer of built-in kitchen appliances has proved that its innovative designs really do stand out from the crowd by scooping three prizes at the prestigious Good Industrial Design (GIO) awards in the Netherlands.
ATAG’s Teppan yaki TY6011M, the stainless steel gas hob MAGNA HG9711MT, and the QuliMax SQ4111B Combi-Steam Oven were all awarded prizes for good industrial design.
The GIO Awards are currently the only design awards in the Netherlands that recognise the expertise of both the designer and the client. The products are judged by an independent jury on aesthetics, functionality, originality, eco-friendliness and ergonomics, and nominations are received in five categories, including food and retail.
ATAG’s Senior Product Manager Vincent Hofstee said: “We are incredibly pleased to have won three prizes at these prestigious awards, and feel that it is a true recognition of the superior standard of designs produced by ATAG. We pride ourselves on the combination of style, functionality, and innovation that comprise our products and these awards support this. We will continue to produce appliances that we believe are outstanding examples of design, style and substance.”
Not only has ATAG proved its worth as a creator of stunning design, the manufacturer has just launched a staggering 106 new products for 2010 at their recent House Show.
Vincent confirmed: “ATAG believes that it is important to continually develop new ideas and innovations. 2010’s product launch was our biggest ever, and I believe this huge amount surely belongs in the Guinness World Book of Records!”
