Awards finalists offered honorary membership to Society of British Interior Designers worth £300

kbbreview has teamed up with the Society of British Interior Designers (SBID) to offer finalists in the magazine’s Industry Awards 2011 a year’s honorary membership, worth more than £300.

Finalists in the kbbreview Industry Awards 2011, the kitchen and bathroom industry’s most prestigious annual awards, will benefit from all the advantages of being members of SBID, the largest, fastest growing professional organisation for designers in Britain. Membership brings many perks including business mentoring, one-to-one advice on health and safety legislation, one-to-one banking advice from NatWest, invitations to regional events throughout Britain and regular members’ meetings with the opportunity to network and share ideas.

“Every business needs all the help it can get and this honorary membership of SBID will give this year’s finalists an extra layer of support and networking opportunities, which can only be helpful in these difficult times,” comments Andrew Davies, the editor of kbbreview and chairman of the judges.

Vanessa Brady, president of SBID, was on the judging panel at the recent kbbreview Industry Awards designer judging day held at RIBA. She says: “We are delighted to offer the finalists in these prestigious awards honorary membership of the Society of British Interior Designers.

“As the fastest growing professional organisation for interior designers, we play an important part in formulating policy on issues of importance to our members and presenting their views to the national, regional, consumer and trade press as well as politicians and government officials.”

Tim Baber, Designer at Yellow Duck Interiors, and one of last year’s kbbreview Industry Awards finalists, adds: “Being able to tell customers I was nominated for the awards was a real boost for my business, as was being a member of SBID. The meetings are an excellent opportunity to network and share ideas with other people in the trade, and briefings on the latest developments in the design world are certainly helpful. I’d recommend every designer to become a member, and, as a finalist again this year, look forward to my continued membership.”
