Gorenje, the Slovenian manufacturer famed for its creative and highly effective appliances, is appearing at Between Sense and Sanity, a Slovenian fashion and product design exhibition.
Taking place at 12 Star Gallery, Europe House, in London from Tuesday 5th February 2013, Between Sense and Sanity is part of the British Council and Fashion Council’s International Fashion Showcase 2013, introducing the work of new design talent under the name Young@Squat alongside products by renowned Slovenian brands Gorenje, and Steklarna Hrastnik, a company with a long glass-making tradition.
This exhibition is curated by Nataša Peršuh and Zoran Garevski from Slovenian gallery Squat, and is a bold and daring fusion of both craft and modern techniques showing expertise in fashion textile design combined with a fearless future-vision.
Gorenje is extremely proud of its Slovenian roots, and alongside appearing at the showcase it has also become a partner of The British Slovene Society. The brand is supporting the Society’s Annual Dinner, being held at Hotel Russell in London on Saturday 9th February 2013, by sponsoring the charity raffle which will raise money for the charity Barka, which aims to provide severely excluded Eastern European migrants with the opportunity for reconnection and social reintegration.

The Between Sense and Sanity showcase is appearing at 12 Star Gallery, Europe House, 32 Smith Square, London from 5th February 2013 to 19th February 2013. Opening hours are 10.00am to 6.00pm.
