Gorenje, the Slovenian manufacturer famed for its creative and innovative appliances, appeared at this year’s IFA fair, held in Berlin. Its 500 square metre exhibition stand boasted a variety of new and exciting products, under the theme ‘Innovation for Healthy Living’.
This theme was chosen for the Gorenje stand as the products on display emphasised the trend towards an easier lifestyle and healthy eating. Cooking is more popular than ever and, when made simpler using advanced technologies and tools, can be enjoyed with friends or larger groups of people. Therefore, Gorenje presented development concepts that embodied intelligent features and advanced automation to contribute to better, healthier lifestyles for all.
The flagship product on Gorenje’s IFA stand was the revolutionary IQcook induction hob featuring unique steaming technology. The Gorenje IQcook is the first induction hob in the world that the consumer can truly trust to continually monitor the cooking process, perceiving all changes in a timely manner and then adjusting the hob operation to avoid boiling over, burning, or overcooking. Meanwhile, pre-set cooking modes IQsteam, IQboil, IQpro, IQfry and IQgrill simplify the preparation of dishes even further. Now users can maximise their time while their meals cook without worrying when something unexpected happens – nothing will ever burn or boil over again.
In the laundry sector, Gorenje unveiled the first IonTech dryer with anti-allergic action. It features intelligent SensorIQ technology, a unique anti-allergic action, and ultra-gentle operation to ensure clothes are dried with care. The IonTech dryer offers an extra-large drum and alternating spinning direction, while the innovative TwinAir hot air supply technology provides a gentle warm breeze that will dry laundry evenly.
Another notable detail is the unique fibre smoothing action of the IonTech technology which makes laundry even softer and smoother as the wrinkles are straightened by controlling the static charge. Ironing cotton and mixed fabric laundry will now be much easier – or even not required at all. Furthermore, during the ionisation process, IonTech technology, in combination with the most efficient FiltrationSupreme system in the market, removes any bacteria, viruses and dust mites. It also effectively refreshes the laundry and eliminates unpleasant odours of food and tobacco.
The Gorenje stand also included the brand’s new generation of fridge freezers with the AdaptCool Adaptive Intelligent System which automatically adjusts the refrigerator’s operation in accordance with the detected user’s lifestyle. Based on the anticipated use, the appliance manages the temperature of the interior in an optimum way and then reduces power consumption to a minimum. In addition the range’s new ventilation system, featuring the innovative IonAir technology, contributes considerably to ensure quality storage of food in the long run. Gorenje’s new generation of fridge freezers rank in the top energy saving classes ‘A++’ and ‘A+++’.
Further launches on the Gorenje stand included a new Retro fridge freezer in Yellow, and the VITA range, a family of sophisticated home appliances, which stand out with advanced technology, features that promote health, and user-friendly operation. Meanwhile, the Gorenje ONE line of appliances was also introduced. Gorenje ONE offers visually harmonious home appliances boasting state-of-the-art technology and minimalist design based on white with metal accents – a perfect blend of minimalism and functionality. The line is made up of a combined fridge freezer with NoFrost DualAdvance technology, several cooking hobs, a hood, cooker, oven with DirecTOUCH control, dishwasher, and a new generation washing machine and dryer. All appliances demonstrate high energy efficiency and friendliness to both the environment and the user.
