Gorenje, the Slovenian manufacturer renowned for its creative and inspirational appliances, returned to Berlin for this year’s IFA Fair. Its 500 square metre exhibition stand featured many exciting innovations and new products, with the theme ‘Ultra White’.

A key launch on the stand had to be the new generation of washing machines and tumble dryers boasting intelligent SensorIQ technology, which automatically controls the washing and drying process, contributing to high energy efficiency. State-of-the-art SensoCARE technology delivers excellent laundry care as it understands and takes into consideration the differing needs of modern consumers. Furthermore, UltraWHITE, a unique program for delicate whites created by Gorenje’s own experts, ensures perfectly white and clean laundry at no more than 30°C.

Gorenje’s new generation of tumble dryers includes the energy-efficient condenser dryers with a heat pump. The innovative new TwinAir drying technology, combined with IonTech technology for efficient fibre smoothing, delivers UltraSOFT softness and care. All this ranks Gorenje’s new laundry appliances as among the most accomplished appliances in the market.

In the cooking sector, the revolutionary top class IQcook induction hob with pre-set cooking modes was another highlight at the fair. The innovative IQ sensor technology guarantees an extremely safe and closely controlled cooking process allowing the choice of five pre-set modes. This new technology not only saves time by optimising the cooking temperature, it is also incredibly efficient; the IQcook hob can even save up to 40 per cent in energy consumption compared to conventional induction technology hobs.

Gorenje’s stand also featured the ground-breaking HomeCHEF built-in oven, which was previously launched at the Living Kitchen exhibition in Cologne to widespread acclaim. The HomeChef uses a superior control module, which allows slide control of the oven via a large colour display. This technology has now been included in other appliances as well; Gorenje’s IFA stand displayed the concept washing machine WashEXPERT. Like the HomeCHEF, it features unique touch control using a large and clearly laid out colour LCD display. The user just has to choose the programme that best suits their requirements, given the type or colour of fabric, and the WashEXPERT takes care of the rest. It is a complex innovation offering intuitive washing mode selection, translated into truly simple and appealing form.

A further concept at the IFA fair was Gorenje’s new Weblicity line. This range takes the popular design and functionality of Simplicity appliances and adds a further dimension – consumers can now personalise the products with colour strips in six colours: white, black, grey, orange, green, and pink.

Alongside the new innovations and concepts featured on Gorenje’s stand, were firm favourites from its product portfolio including the Gorenje designed by Karim Rashid collection, the Simplicity range and the Retro refrigeration, with new white and red models.
