retra conference 2010 a real success

retra, the radio, electrical and television retailers’ association, has hailed its 50th annual conference as a real success, with anticipation already mounting for next year’s!

Held at The ICC, Birmingham, retra’s 2010 conference welcomed a wide variety of expert speakers from an array of manufacturers, associations and retailers, with topics ranging from 3DTV to making the most of market towns. Speakers were invited to give talks centred around the conference theme ‘Performance for Profit’.

The conference was split over the two days, with a gala dinner after the first session. Delegates enjoyed a stunning four-course meal, as well as entertainment, which included a performance by the Opera Babes.

Shaun Barrett, retra President, and the organiser of this year’s conference, says: “I am very pleased that this year’s conference was such a success, and hope that the delegates found the speakers as informative and interesting as I did.

“I have received a lot of positive feedback already, and would like to thank all the speakers for the advice and information they gave. I am already looking forward to next year!”

Bryan Lovewell, Chief Executive of retra, adds: “Shaun has done a great job with this year’s conference. A fantastic selection of expert speakers, who offered practical and real opportunities for improving profit through performance. Well done Shaun!”

Next year’s conference will be held at the Wyndham Grand, London Chelsea Harbour, on 11th April 2011.
