Whirlpool, the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of major home appliances, has launched its innovative new range of 6TH SENSE® dishwashers. The freestanding and built-in models, which feature innovative PowerDry technology capable of completing a full wash and dry cycle in just one hour1, were launched at renowned landmark for time, the St. Pancras Clock Tower.
The launch follows the appointment of a dynamic Whirlpool team, and represents the beginning of heightened PR and marketing activity throughout 2015. Central to this is supporting retailers; ensuring company developments and technology trends are communicated via a number of channels that can, in turn, be passed onto the consumer.
The Whirlpool freestanding ADP 900 IX dishwasher, and its integrated counterpart, the ADG 2020 FD, achieve improved washing and drying performance by way of new and innovative PowerDry technology. Unveiled by Whirlpool’s Managing Director, Darren Harrison and Brand and Digital Marketing Manager, Jennifer Spragg, the 3D airflow feature and closed circuit drying system with humidity-extracting fan did not disappoint, without any steam upon opening the door, and perfectly dry crockery and spotless glasses.
Notoriously difficult to dry in the dishwasher, even plastic items were ready to put straight in the cupboard after the one hour cycle, which Whirlpool demonstrated in partnership with contemporary kitchenware specialist, Joseph Joseph.
Combined with 6TH SENSE PowerClean™ option, the dishwashers detect levels of grime in order to automatically optimise settings, for savings of up to 50 per cent in water, energy and time2. Situated at the rear of the dishwashers, 28 PowerClean jets are dedicated to the removal of burnt on food and, to ensure that pre-washing is a thing of the past.
As well as new and genuinely innovative technology, the freestanding dishwasher offers a fresh, minimalist aesthetic. With an integrated handle inset into the flat stainless steel door, off-set by a subtle curvature, the new design fits perfectly with the Whirlpool Absolute collection of refrigerators.
Jennifer Spragg, Brand and Digital Marketing Manager, says: “We are so excited to launch the new 6TH SENSE PowerClean™ dishwashers with PowerDry option. Offering a complete wash and dry cycle in just one hour is a huge step forward, both in the market place and in meeting our objective of developing innovative technology and genuine lifestyle benefits for consumers. The new Whirlpool team is enthusiastic and dedicated to advancing product design based on consumer needs, throughout all of our product ranges, and the PowerDry concept is only the beginning.”
