It’s not always true that too many cooks spoil the broth, especially when the best meets the best. Whirlpool, one of the world’s major appliance manufacturers has formed an exciting partnership with top food writer and TV chef Catherine Fulvio for 2014 and 2015, which sees Catherine taking on the role of Brand Ambassador for their cooking appliances.
As proprietor of Ballyknocken House and Cookery School in County Wicklow, where she has recently installed Whirlpool appliances, Catherine says she is extremely impressed with the innovative functions, design and capabilities of the products and is very enthusiastic and confident to be advocating Whirlpool as a preferred brand of choice in cooking appliances.
Growing up on a working farm in Ireland, Catherine has a strong connection with the land and appreciates the importance of fresh, quality seasonal ingredients in producing flavoursome food.
Her busy career gets busier and it is no wonder that the Independent recently wrote of her: “Celebrity chef Catherine Fulvio is cooking up a storm in Ireland.” She has firmly established herself as a familiar face on TV screens both at home and abroad, including appearances on BBC Saturday Kitchen, which attracts three million viewers per show. Her own TV series has aired in over eleven countries and she has also made numerous appearances on American NBC’s Today Show.
Catherine’s latest cookery book, The Weekend Chef, was released last October and she is currently researching her next book. She is also the food writer for one of Ireland top-selling weeklies, the RTE Guide.

Davina O’Carroll, Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Whirlpool Ireland, says: “We all incredibly proud and pleased of this very special and exciting partnership with Catherine Fulvio, who will be an excellent ambassador for the Whirlpool brand. Catherine shares our passion for cooking and her recipes have proved very popular. She is extremely impressed with the functions and capabilities of our ovens and microwaves, especially the dough rising function in the ovens and for example the fact that she can bake perfect scones in our microwaves using the crisp technology. Our appliances have proved to be a great success in her cookery school”.
