Whirlpool supports the Love Food Hate Waste Campaign

Whirlpool’s latest freestanding Green Generation refrigerators are green, glamorous and smart. In fact so smart at saving energy and water, and extending long lasting food freshness, it will save you over £1.6k during an estimated average lifetime¹.

Working with WRAP and the Love Food Hate Waste Campaign (LFHW) to raise the awareness of food wastage in the UK, Juliana Sado, Senior Brand Marketing Manager Whirlpool comments: “The price of the weekly food shop is constantly on the increase and so consumers are looking for ways to ensure their food stays fresh for as long as possible in order to reduce food wastage and save money. Whirlpool has always demonstrated its commitment to sustainability by putting its technology and expertise to work. We are now actively contributing to the cause by educating consumers and making them aware of the great technology available to reduce food waste.”

Emma Marsh, Head of the Love Food Hate Waste Campaign remarks: “We are continually looking for new ways to help consumers make the most of the food they buy, waste less and save money. Refrigerators which can help keep food in the home fresher for longer, giving us more time to eat it is a great way to help consumers waste less and save more.”

Juliana adds: “Our Absolute refrigerators, and in particular the WBA 33992 NFC IX delivers an estimated total food and energy saving of over £1600 during the appliance’s lifetime¹.”

Freestanding Combi Fridge Freezer – Whirlpool WBA 33992 NFC IX
This generous, freestanding combi fridge freezer has unique 6TH SENSE® Fresh Control to preserve long lasting food freshness for up to four times longer², throughout the entire refrigeration cabinet, not in just one drawer. This is made possible because 6TH SENSE® Fresh Control technology constantly check the humidity inside the refrigerator. The exclusive humidity control sensors ensure the humidity level is maintained between 70 to 85 per cent, unlike traditional models that guarantees only 30 per cent. Foods don’t dehydrate and their nutritional value, vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants are all preserved for longer. Additionally the conservation temperature is restored five times faster³ following any variation.
The Absolute refrigerator is A++ energy rated, guaranteeing an energy saving of over 40 per cent compared to an A class appliance. And with an energy efficient LED lighting system, which affords better visibility and space management in the cabinet, offers reduced energy consumption too.

Whirlpool delivers the best in class food preservation, as well as an estimated food and energy saving, during an estimated average appliance lifetime of over £1.6k.

Juliana Sado, Senior Brand Marketing Manager sums up and says: “Consumers are constantly looking for ways to lessen the cost of running their home, reducing energy and resources output, as well as reducing their impact on the environment, and genuinely want to make a difference.
