Conference 2018-8835 - RC (1)

Success for Fifth KBBG Annual Members’ Meeting

The fifth Kitchen Bathroom Buying Group (KBBG) Annual Members’ Meeting, which was jointly sponsored by Störmer and Küppersbusch, took place on Monday 11th June 2018 and was held at the Hilton, London Heathrow Terminal 4.

The theme for this year’s annual conference was ‘Next Step’, which introduced an impressive array of speakers. KBBG Managing Director Bill Miller opened the meeting by addressing some of the challenges that face many independent kitchen and bathroom specialists.

Consumer trends and insights were presented by Jane Blakeborough, Trend-Monitor’s Research Director, who highlighted that the UK’s ageing population sees an increase in four generation living. The challenge of social media in the industry was also discussed, with a presentation from Abbey Mills, Born Social’s Client Services Director, who explored the social media landscape and presented solutions available for KBBG members.

The conference concluded with an engaging presentation by keynote speaker Charlie Luxton, sustainable architecture specialist and presenter of More4’s ‘Building the Dream’, who discussed the topic of sustainability within the housebuilding industry.

Bill Miller, Managing Director, KBBG, says: “The KBBG has seen tremendous growth since its introduction to the UK market and this was clearly demonstrated at this year’s conference. We listen intently to our members to ensure we exceed expectations and provide them with the resources necessary to support the next step in their business. We thank our event sponsors and look forward to next year’s conference, which will be a celebration of DER KREIS’ 40 years.”
