AM Labels Enhances Its Linerless Offering With The Arca Print And Apply System

As the interest in linerless labelling solutions continues to increase, AM Labels has expanded its print and apply offering to include a linerless model from Arca to meet the demand and provide customers with a sustainable solution. The robust Arca linerless 4.0 print and apply system produces zero waste without the need for the disposal of the silicone liner support.

The Arca linerless print and apply system has a maximum roll diameter of 360 mm and is designed to print on linerless label material with a four inch width. Utilising either a SATO or Zebra thermal transfer print engine, it boasts printing speeds of up to 254 mm a second. It also offers a range of print options depending on the business’s requirement including resolutions of 203 dpi, 300 dpi and a maximum of 600 dpi.

An important benefit of the Arca linerless print and apply system is that it can accommodate a label roll size of up to 40 per cent longer than conventional material to further its ability to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Arca print and apply system is designed for the most demanding work environments, as well as being a cost-effective solution for businesses looking to reduce their label waste. It can operate in a number of different modes, including batch, where a number of labels have the same content, and real time labelling, where for example a unique barcode is scanned on the product, a database is accessed for the corresponding information and the label is then printed. In most cases, the label can be applied without stopping the product.

Benefitting from a simple, user-friendly control interface, the linerless print and apply control panel can store up to 90 different programmes consisting of set parameters that users can recall at a later date. Users can also remotely check on the progress of the job via the Arca app and receive push notifications such as when the system is approaching the end of the label roll. A multi-coloured beacon and a number of different acoustic signals will notify users when the roll or programme has finished as well as if any errors occur with the printer or system.

The Arca print and apply system can be installed in a number of different configurations, enabling businesses to apply labels in a variety of application methods including top, side and bottom labelling.

Therefore, the Arca linerless 4.0 can offer a sustainable labelling solution for businesses in a variety of industries, including food and beverage production, health, beauty and pharmaceutical sectors as well as manufacturing and distribution. Also available from AM Labels is an optional conveyor which when added to the print and apply system can further enhance productivity.

Brendon Bass, Sales and Marketing Manager, AM Labels Limited comments: “The Arca linerless 4.0 print and apply system is a technologically advanced and sustainable labelling solution that is ideal for a variety of labelling requirements. We recently demonstrated the Arca linerless model on our stand at the PPMA show and it garnered significant interest from companies looking to enhance their productivity while reducing label waste. We can offer demonstrations of the print and apply system to prospective customers at our Technical Experience Centre also.”
