KBBG Welcomes Chalon Kitchen Furniture Brand On Board

The Kitchen Bathroom Buying Group (KBBG), part of DER KREIS, has gained the support of an illustrious new member in the Somerset-based kitchen furniture brand, Chalon.

Established by the Chalon family in 1978 as an antique restoration business, Chalon has since expanded and diversified to gain an impressive global reputation from its headquarters in Hambridge. The company has showrooms in Chelsea, Harrogate, St. Albans and Manchester, with a further showroom recently opened in Bristol.

Whilst concentrating on kitchens, Chalon’s handcrafted range has been extended from its origins in freestanding furniture to include dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, studies and libraries. “In fact we cater for every room in the house,” says Chalon’s General Manager, Barney Bell.

“In more recent years kitchen trends have seen Chalon develop furniture for utility rooms and pantries, as well as integrating the modern appliances that are required for today’s living. Complementary products such as lighting were added to our portfolio in 2010. Predominantly English in style, our designs have been flavoured by particular influences from France, Scandinavia and Ireland to develop a distinctive house style.

“It goes without saying that we are delighted to join the increasingly prestigious and powerful KBBG Group.  For us, this was an easy decision to make.  Being a member of the KBGG, with the tremendous offers now available on products from the likes of Britannia and Jetstone, affords us the kind of excellent buying terms, where a single order will more than justify our subscription.”

Bill Miller, KBBG’s Managing Director, says: “”We are pleased to have the renowned and distinctive brand of Chalon on board as we continue to expand our portfolio and provide ever greater support and opportunities for all of our members.  Chalon’s membership is further proof of the top quality service and attractive offers that we provide.”
