Sales training courses great success for retra

A series of sales training courses run by retra, the radio, electrical and television retailers’ association, have proved to be a great success, and there has been an impressive take-up for 2010 already.

Run by Top Level Solutions, to date over 1,600 retra members and their staff have taken part in the training courses, which were started in 2008. While 23 series of courses were held last year, 30 have already been organised for 2010, with bookings placed until the end of October.

There are five different training levels focusing on different aspects of sales and aimed at different levels of ability available for retra members. The courses begin with an introduction for those new to sales, developing right up to advanced stages that analyse sales performance for weaknesses, and provide training for shop managers. A final, fifth stage structured around installation and delivery is planned for introduction later this year.

The courses are then run on for retra members on a weekday evening, after work, with food provided and included in the cost of £20 +VAT.

George Morton, Top Level Solutions, says: “The sales training courses have been a great success! We have just held our first session for 2010, which was given to a full house, and was very well received. The courses aim to help retra members achieve the maximum amount of sales possible, and we are truly doing everything we can to make sure their businesses stay successful. Even if attendees only come away with one idea, they will easily recoup their investment in no time at all!”

Bryan Lovewell, Chief Executive of retra, comments: “I am very pleased that the courses have been such a success, and look forward to their continued success and development this year. They really do represent excellent value of both time and money, and I hope that retra members will make the most of this opportunity to develop their business and the skills of their staff members.”
