As the end of the year approaches, the Kitchen Bathroom Buying Group (KBBG), part of DER KREIS, has announced that 2024 has been a record-breaking year for new members joining the buying group. The KBBG is aimed at independent KBB retailers, and its membership has increased by nearly 20 per cent over the last year.
All KBBG members remain independent and retain their identity, while gaining better buying conditions and unique access to some of the best suppliers and service providers in the UK and Europe. Overall, the KBBG’s objective is very simple; to create a strong and sustainable independent channel, enabling members to achieve their full business potential and a long-term future.
Bill Miller, Managing Director, KBBG, says: “KBBG’s membership has increased year-on-year since its launch in 2013. The number of new members joining the buying group in 2024 has been unprecedented for a number of reasons including our unique business partnership with the Kbsa, which we announced at our Annual Members’ Meeting in June.”
The Kbsa partnership is a ground-breaking collaboration of two of the biggest bodies within the KBB industry, for the benefit of both organisations’ members. KBBG supports the front-end of business for independent KBB specialists by bringing suppliers, better buying conditions, bonuses and supporting with new leads. Meanwhile, the Kbsa supports independent KBB retailers with the operational end of business and promotes consumer confidence when selecting a home improvement specialist. The complementary offering from both associations has resulted in numerous Kbsa members joining the KBBG.
Bill adds: “Our partnership with the Kbsa has been a long time coming and it’s great to see our collaborative efforts provide so many benefits to members. Having announced that I will be stepping down from my role at KBBG, I’m pleased to be departing on a high note at the end of what has been an exceptional year, and I know that Owain and the team will continue to drive growth; the future is looking very bright for the KBBG.”
