Ohlala! Whirlpool to Create Sweet Treats at Westfield

Westfield Stratford City shopping centre is soon to be filled with sweet smells and delectable treats, as Whirlpool, the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of major home appliances, is to re-ignite their series of live consumer events at the shopping centre in Stratford, London.

Kicking off on Saturday 20th February 2016, Whirlpool is teaming up with macaron guru’s Ohlala to demonstrate the range of Whirlpool cooking appliances, while offering delicious treats to shoppers of Westfield Stratford City shopping centre. Ohlala’s pastry chef Xing Ling will demonstrate the art of achiving the perfect macaron; crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside.

Over the next four weeks, the Whirlpool kitchen will be hosted by a unique line-up of chefs, demonstrating an array of cooking styles and techniques. Look out for the full schedule of appearances, soon to be revealed on social media at #whirlpoolcooks. The live campaign has been designed to engage passing shoppers, and to encourage them to share their experiences on social media, using some fun and creative methods.

Jennifer Spragg, Senior Brand Manager, Whirlpool says: “Last year’s live campaign was such a great experience, that we couldn’t wait to get started in 2016. We hope to create a real buzz of excitement around the demonstration theatre, and offer the hungry shoppers some delicious treats, as well as recipes and ideas to try at home. We would love to invite everyone to come and visit the Whirlpool kitchen at the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre, which begins with Ohlala’s scrumptious macarons on the 20th February 2016.”
