Whirlpool, the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of major home appliances, has partnered with the brand behind the UK’s first luxury macaron and Martini making workshop, Ohlala Macarons.
The popular Whirlpool MAX 35 microwave oven (part of the MAX Collection) features in a leading-edge interactive book on making the French confection, which was released on Thursday 11th December, following the previous evening’s TV debut of Ohlala Macarons on The Apprentice.
The MAX 35 assists in the macaron-baking demonstrations and tutorials throughout the e-book, which aims to rid the common misconception that traditional French macarons are troublesome and time-consuming to bake. The Max 35, which is used to melt chocolate for the fillings in the demonstrations, is also featured in Ohlala Macarons ‘preferred products’ section of the interactive book.
Ohlala Macarons’s founder, Meredith O’Shaughnessy, says: “The Max 35 was a joy to work with; it made the process of making macaron fillings so much quicker and easier. I love how fun, yet functional, the Max 35 microwave ovens are, they are a great addition to any kitchen”.
Demonstrating the MAX microwave can achieve the same exceptional results as a number of traditional cooking processes, only quicker; models (and macarons) are available in a range of fun and fashionable colours.
The compact exterior and curved back of the microwave ensures it can be placed almost anywhere in the kitchen, tucking neatly into a corner unlike any other – but don’t be fooled by its compact appearance, which can fit a dinner-sized plate of up to 28cm in diameter inside.
Internally, the MAX Collection incorporates Whirlpool’s renowned Jet Defrost feature for exceptionally fast and even defrosting, achieved by the revolutionary 3D emission system. Including a healthy steam function amongst its many options, a specially designed steamer accessory can be used with pre-programmed settings to also prepare nutritious dishes with ease.
Neil Austin, Trade Marketing Manager, Whirlpool UK, says: “Our MAX Collection of microwave ovens are great cooking companions that offer the consumer the very best in fashionable design, practicality and technology, which we were delighted to involve in such an apt project. Ohlala Macarons is a unique concept delivered through innovative means on point with our own brand messages, and we very much look forward to a continued relationship with them”.
