Good Homes – 7 Easter tableware ideas for the long weekend

Here at jmm PR, we’re super excited for the upcoming Easter weekend. As well as having an extra-long four day break to look forward to, the recent relaxation in Covid-19 restrictions means that we can now entertain up to six people in our gardens! So, we’ve been on the lookout this week for some table décor ideas that are sure to wow our guests, and this article from Good Homes certainly doesn’t disappoint.

Most of us decorate our table with crackers and other festive items for Christmas, but how many of us can say that we decorate for Easter? If you’ve missed entertaining your family and friends since Coronavirus restrictions were first imposed, this weekend is the perfect chance to get out in the garden with your loved ones and make up for lost time! This article features seven stunning décor ideas for your table, including a range of items such as crockery, placemats and beautiful Easter egg accessories.

We’re huge fans of all things rabbit-related at jmm PR, so when we spotted the pretty bunny shaped napkin rings in this article, we instantly fell in love. They’re available in a range of pastel shades to add a pop of colour to your table and they’re a bargain too at just £3 for six! The chicken shaped gravy boat is a must have for anyone planning on serving up a delicious roast dinner over the Easter weekend, adding a perfect touch of spring to your table décor that can be used all year round too.

Our favourite pick from the article has to be the egg cup plate from Next. It’s shaped like a fried egg and even comes with a built-in boiled egg holder, perfect for serving up dippy eggs!

A delicious Easter meal is something we’re definitely looking forward to, so why not go the extra mile and make the most of celebrating with your loved ones outdoors by decorating your table? Let us know if you’ll be purchasing any of the picks in this article, and if you have any additional seasonal table décor ideas, tell us in the comments!

Real Homes – 13 closet organisation ideas to squeeze as much storage as possible out of your space

Organisation is key when it comes to wardrobes and closets. It’s so easy to let your storage spaces get out of hand and nobody enjoys the contents of their wardrobe falling out every time the door is opened. So, if your clothes, shoes and accessories are starting to resemble a jumble sale, then we’d recommend reading this article from Real Homes to help organise your storage and make the most out of the space you have available.

First of all, the article advises to ensure your wardrobe is right for the clothes that you own. For example, if you wear a lot of long dresses, you need to make sure you have the space to accommodate them. If your clothes are hung correctly, they are less likely to crease, which makes life a lot easier when putting an outfit together in the morning.

Secondly, Real Homes suggests organising your wardrobe according to what you wear the most. The article includes advice from professional organiser, Vicky Silverthorn, who says: “The easiest to reach spaces should house the clothes you wear most/daily. I like to hang in category i.e. short sleeves together, long-sleeved, jackets etc… you can always put them in colour order within these categories”.

If you are lucky enough to have a walk in wardrobe, this article is full of ideas to make the space stylish and practical, including adding a dressing table and even an ottoman. If your storage space isn’t so extravagant, then don’t worry, Real Homes includes ideas and hacks that are suitable for wardrobes of all shapes are sizes.

One of our favourite ideas is to use a pegboard to hang items such as jewellery and shoes. We also love the idea of hanging accessories on rails, which is not only practical, but can make for a unique feature within the interior design of your bedroom.

We hope you enjoy reading this article as much as we did, and if you have any other clever wardrobe hacks, we would love to hear them!
