Good Homes – 5 Easter decorating ideas for your home

Most of us decorate a Christmas tree with baubles and hang a wreath on our front door ready for the festive period, and some of us even choose to adorn our homes with pumpkins and maple leaves come Autumn, but how many of us can say that we decorate for Easter? Easter-themed decorating is the latest interior design trend set to take 2020 by storm, and after reading this article from Good Homes, we can definitely see why. Whether you intend to host a meal for family and friends, or just want to add some subtle spring touches to your home, this article provides five top tips on decorating for Easter.

As well as filling your home with decorative accessories such as cushions, tea towels and crockery that feature spring-themed animals like bunnies and chicks, Good Homes shows us exactly how to create a stunning table centrepiece for our Easter Sunday lunch guests to admire. Spring flowers such as tulips and daffodils are the perfect addition to any table, and along with pastel coloured decorations, personalised place settings and Easter-themed sweet treats, it really is easier than you thought to transform your dining table into a celebration of all things spring. Our favourite idea has to be hanging a spring wreath on your front door. Whether you opt to buy one pre-made or decide to make your own DIY version, an Easter-themed wreath is sure to make your home stand out.

So, if seasonal decorating is your thing and you’re looking for an excuse to fill your house with Easter eggs, flowers, bunnies and pastel coloured accessories, make sure you check out this article on the top decorating ideas to transform your home for Easter.

Ideal Home – The unusual door trend that’s sweeping social media

2020 has already brought us a lot of paint trends, with painted floorboards to painted ceilings, but now it seems that painted door frames have grabbed people’s attention, with social media going crazy for the quirky look. Colourful door frames are currently sweeping Instagram and so far they seem to be getting a lot of love, and to be honest we can see why!

This easy to achieve trend is a great way to inject some colour into a room, or to test out the trend you can try using neutral colours for added effect. If you’re feeling a bit braver, you can even try bleeding out the paint into patterns such as a scalloped edge, don’t worry, there is always the option to repaint! If you decide you’re not feeling it or you simply feel like mixing it up, you can always change the colour or design at a later date for an easy, mini room makeover.

This article from Ideal Home showcases some of the amazing door frames that other Instagram users have created, so if you’re looking for some inspiration, or even somewhere to start, then be sure to have a read through!
