Which? magazine best buy for Whirlpool 6th Sense Induction Hob

Whirlpool, the world’s leading manufacturer of major home appliances, has received a Which? Best Buy award for its latest innovative 6th Sense® induction hob, the ACM 847/BA.

Blending design with cutting edge Whirlpool patented technology, the new 6th Sense® four-zone induction hob is designed to make cooking quicker, easier and more energy efficient than ever before.

In Which? testing, the Whirlpool ACM 847/BA induction hob scored 83 per cent and earned ‘five star’ ratings for speed of heating, simmering, ease of cleaning and overall cooking performance.

Which? said: “This excellent induction hob is pretty much faultless – it does everything you’d expect a quick-heating induction hob to do. It comes with all the safety measures you need and thoroughly deserves Best Buy status.”

Which? had particular praise for Whirlpool’s 6th Sense® induction technology and booster option that enables this hob to heat water from 15ºC to 90ºC in just four minutes, faster than a gas hob and almost twice as fast as a ceramic hob. Through the use of induction it not only creates savings on time but also up to 30 per cent energy savings too.

Which? also commended intelligent functions such as the easy-to-use slide controls, a child lock to stop settings being tampered with and residual heat indicators – lights to let you know the zone is still hot.

Simona Bara, Product Marketing Manager Built in for Whirlpool, says: “Which? is recognised as the best in the business for recommending reliable appliances that do the job they are built to do. So to receive a Which? Best Buy award for the 6th Sense® induction hob is a fabulous accolade.

“The Whirlpool ACM 847/BA, with modern induction technology and flexi zones to allow for a huge variety of cooking techniques, is a versatile addition to any kitchen and 6th Sense® technology makes this hob fast, efficient and easy to use.”

In summary, Which? said: “If you’re looking for an excellent induction hob, look no further. It’s hard to find anything bad to say about this Whirlpool.”

Simona Bara added: “Through intelligent features, such as slide controls, the 6th Sense® induction hob has been designed with the customer in mind, so it is a credit to Whirlpool to receive this recognition by Which?”
