Induction cooking is one of the quickest methods of achieving the perfect meal. Not only is it fast, it is also resource friendly and safe to use.
Whirlpool is at the forefront of induction cooking with an induction hob and oven, and a special condenser hood that prevents the formation of condensation, often affected by induction cooking.
The Whirlpool induction oven, the AKZM 8920/GK, cooks food in up to half the time, using up to 50 per cent less energy1. The appliance features a revolutionary induction shelf, which generates a magnetic field that directly heats the special induction tray for extremely efficient, speedy and precise cooking. The induction oven cooks your dishes evenly, with extra succulence and, of course, there is no need to pre-heat the oven.
Should you want to cook lots of dishes all at once, using multiple shelves, simply remove the induction shelf and use the appliance as you would any other Whirlpool multifunction oven. Make use of the oven’s many features including Cook3, which enables the cooking of three different dishes at the same time, without the flavours or aromas mixing. What’s more, thanks to the Whirlpool Ready2Cook function, the required temperature is reached, without pre-heating, saving you up to 20 per cent in energy2.
The 60cm Whirlpool induction hob, the ACM 868/BA/IXL, benefits from Whirlpool’s 6TH Sense® technology to automatically select the right temperature for melting, boiling and simmering; the temperature is then constantly monitored and adapted to maintain the optimal cooking temperature. The hob has four cooking zones plus the benefit of FlexiCook. Two cooking areas can be merged to create a versatile cooking area, ideal for different sized pots and pans. The FlexiCook system automatically and continuously senses when, and where, the pans are placed, allowing you to move the pan around without losing any heat. Safety is a further benefit of induction cooking, as only the pan is heated, leaving the surrounding area cool, and as soon as the pan is removed from the hob, it turns off automatically.
The perfect companion for the induction hob is the Whirlpool vertical glass condenser hood, the AKR 809 UK, available in black glass or a mirrored-finish. The stylish hood introduces a ground-breaking and innovative condensing system. The forward-looking technology in the hood incorporates a revolutionary new heating film, concealed behind the surface of the extractor, which prevents the formation of condensation. This means that water droplets will not form on the hood and drip onto your hob.
The trio of appliances all work together seamlessly to simplify cooking, giving consumers more time for themselves. The 6TH Sense® technology embedded in the oven and hob monitors, adapts and controls the cooking to ensure every dish is cooked to perfection and served without a glitch. Whirlpool Fusion appliances also have the advantage of an iXeliumTM coating, which is anti-scratch, is easy to clean with a simple wipe with a damp cloth, and keeps them looking as good as new for longer.
Samuel Johnson, Brand Manager, Whirlpool says: “Whirlpool is dedicated to developing solutions that are intuitive and deliver an enjoyable cooking experience, with excellent results and performance. Induction cooking is increasingly popular because it’s faster and more energy efficient. The oven and hob, teamed with the condenser hood, offer the perfect quick, easy and pleasurable cooking experience. The power of induction, linked with Whirlpool’s 6TH Sense® technology, means the consumer can worry less, and has more time to get back to what matters most.”
