The Afinia x350 on the AM Labels stand - PPMA Show 2022

AM Labels Previews the New Afinia x350 Digital Roll-To-Roll Press at the PPMA Show 2022

AM Labels Limited (AM Labels), an award-winning supplier of complete labelling solutions including manufacturing and warehouse automation, barcoding and RFID systems, exhibited at the PPMA Show from 27th to 29th September 2022. On stand A23, the company invited visitors to see an exclusive sneak preview of the brand new Afinia Label x350 digital roll-to-roll press.

The PPMA Show is the largest exhibition of its kind in the UK, showcasing a wide range of the latest and most innovative processing and packaging machinery, robotics and industrial vision systems available, alongside the newest developments in packaging design, materials and containers.

The main attraction on AM Labels’ stand was the Afinia x350 digital roll-to-roll press. The press, which is designed for labels and flexible packaging, benefits from a powerful performance with a compact footprint, meaning it can fit seamlessly into production areas with limited space. Thanks to its 13 inch (350 mm) print width, large eight litre CMYK ink capacity with two litres per colour channel, and print speeds of up to 18 inches per second (460 mm per second), the x350 is designed for high volume production requirements.

Offering user friendly operation, the press features an integrated PC with an intuitive 21 inch touchscreen interface. The x350 offers a wider roll width of 350 mm, as well as a larger roll diameter of 350 mm, providing up to 500 metres of label stock on a roll or up to 1,000 metres of flexible packaging. The Afinia x350 is ideal for a wide variety of high volume, roll-to-roll labelling and packaging requirements, including for use in food, beverage and chemical industries.

The roll-to-roll press utilises water-based, pigment inks that are free from harmful chemicals, in addition to being more durable than traditional inkjet formulations. As a result, the x350 is resistant to any possible bleeding or degradation that can often be caused by moisture, UV or abrasion. Furthermore, the press utilises innovative Memjet DuraFlex technology, enabling it to provide highly consistent print quality.

Additionally, on its stand at the PPMA Show 2022, AM Labels invited visitors to explore its sustainability area, where the company’s range of brand new sustainable labelling materials made from sugar cane paper and grass paper were displayed, alongside its selection of linerless label printers. AM Labels also exhibited a wide range of colour label printers from leading manufacturers including Afinia, Epson and OKI.

Brendon Bass, Sales and Marketing Manager, AM Labels Limited comments: “This was our seventh time exhibiting at the PPMA Show, an exhibition that always provides a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with our existing customer base, while meeting new and prospective customers from a variety of industries. We are thrilled to be the first reseller in the UK to debut the new Afinia x350 digital roll-to-roll press, and we thoroughly enjoyed demonstrating this innovative model, alongside a variety of the latest and most exciting technology that our portfolio has to offer.

“The soon-to-be-released Afinia x350 is an ideal solution for businesses with high volume labelling and packaging requirements, enabling them to achieve vibrant and professional results, while also offering fast and consistent print results, all created in-house, thanks to Memjet DuraFlex technology.”
