jmm PR’s Favourite Articles of the Week

Here at jmm PR, we have been scouring the internet for our favourite articles of the week.

This week brings stylish open storage inspiration to maximise space in your bathroom and a snoop around a celebrity’s house!

Houzz – Beautifully Designed Open Storage Ideas for Bathrooms

If, like us, you have more lotions and potions than you know what to do with, then you’ll understand that the bathroom is the top room in the house where storage can be a challenge. Open storage can bring numerous benefits to a room, particularly where space is limited. When kept neat and organised, it can help create a spacious illusion, as well as acting as a stunning design statement. So, if you’re on the lookout for some open storage inspiration, make sure you check out this article.

Typically, the bathroom is the smallest room in the house, and open storage can bring a wide range of benefits. As well as using alcoves and chimney breasts to create clever integrated shelving, this article offers up some ideas that combine open and closed storage, providing a place to store excess items that you wouldn’t necessarily want to have on show. By hiding these items away within cupboards and drawers, you can create a clutter-free and organised atmosphere. Our favourite idea is to incorporate a ladder-style shelving unit in the bathroom, complete with plants, spare towels, and ornaments. You can even go one step further and empty items such as cotton buds, hair accessories and cotton pads into stylish jars and pots, using your essentials to accessorise the bathroom!

Regardless of the size of your bathroom, this article highlights just how easy it is to make the most of the space you have available, without having to fill up a room with cupboards and drawers, which can often make it appear crowded and claustrophobic. So, whether you’re planning a bathroom renovation, or are simply looking for storage tips to free up some extra space, prepare to be inspired by the smart and stylish ideas in this article!

Good Homes – How Fearne Cotton has decorated her London home

We love a cheeky glimpse of a celebrity home, especially one who has such a quirky and vibrant taste like Fearne Cotton does! With Fearne taking a step into the world of interiors over the past few years, her home really reflects her passion for creating gorgeous spaces.

After recently becoming the ambassador for Dulux’s Colour of the Year 2020, Tranquil Dawn, as well as hosting BBC’s Interior Design Masters, Fearne has openly admitted to being ‘a little addicted to decorating’. Her bold taste and love for colour is very much reflected in each room, with an amazing green bookshelf taking pride of place in her home.

And that’s not all! From the snaps on her social media it’s clear that Fearne is a fan of a statement piece, I mean who isn’t? From a corner wicker chair to a classic range cooker, she definitely knows how to fill a space beautifully.

We absolutely loved looking through Fearne’s snaps in this article and can’t wait to see some more of her home in further posts! And, for anyone who’s wondering, similar pieces can be found linked throughout the article. So, be sure to give it a read if you’re looking for some interior ideas or if you just like having a nose in other people’s homes!
