New Whirlpool Eco Night refrigeration function is an absolute energy-saving benefit

Highly fashionable and highly practical with an eye-catching, sleek and progressive exterior finish, Whirlpool’s combi-refrigeration is flexible and more versatile than ever. The new range of fridge freezers in the company’s Absolute aesthetic are also loaded with technological goodies to save you precious energy.

Whirlpool places great emphasis on environmental responsibility and maximum savings for its customers, and one of the great features of the premium models in the Absolute range is the clever Eco Night function. This programmes the appliance to take advantage of low energy tariffs, enabling you to save on energy bills by programming the timer to run defrosting cycles during the time of your choosing. This simultaneously optimises performance and energy consumption.

Additionally, the ‘A++’ class Absolute refrigerators are equipped with an advanced electronic interface and an efficient variable speed compressor that together reduce energy consumption by 25 per cent when compared to the average energy consumption of a Whirlpool equivalent appliance in the ‘A+’ class.

There are three new models featuring the new Absolute aesthetic, each with different configurations and benefits for an extended choice.

Dalia Haddad, Product Marketing Manager for Whirlpool says: “Our Absolute aesthetic is right on trend for the times, and its flexibility is able to reflect the personality of the owner. It is a pure, clean design complemented by an ultra-flush finish and a modern user interface. The finish is particularly suitable for avant-garde kitchens with brighter, lighter colour tones. But looks aren’t everything and the energy saving and food preservation technology of these appliances is no less impressive. A key model which perfectly demonstrates the capabilities of the range is the ‘A++’ energy rated WBA 33992 NFC IX Green Generation combi-fridge freezer, offering outstanding design and performance.”

In addition to their captivating design, these refrigerators are chock full of technology that helps conserve food longer, maintaining its inviting colour, shape and aroma so it looks good and avoids the needless waste of food. The intelligence of this collection lies in the 6th Sense® Fresh Control technology with the Activ0°compartment. 6th Sense® Fresh Control technology is the ultimate evolution in food preservation, keeping your food as fresh as the day you bought it for up to four times longer. It uses advanced sensors to constantly check temperature and humidity levels inside the entire fridge cavity. An intelligent algorithm independently drives the compressor and fan to maintain the ideal conditions, restoring conservation temperatures five times faster and actively sustaining the proper humidity level at all times.

The Activ0° compartment is specially designed for the ideal storage of meat and fish. The temperature is maintained at around 0°C, guaranteeing freshness and preserving the food’s nutritional value and appearance. What’s more, the system can be turned off and the compartment used for normal storage, for the utmost practicality and optimisation of space.
