New Whirlpool 6th Sense fridge freezer preserves food freshness for longer

We are all guilty of wasting food and many of us continue to harm the environment and burn holes in our pockets by throwing away food that can easily be preserved for longer with the aid of a little more thought and a smarter, more energy efficient fridge freezer.

The advancement of environmentally friendly kitchen appliances has not only helped to prolong the life of food but has also helped to significantly reduce food and energy bills.
And now, through continual research and development, Whirlpool, the world’s leading manufacturer of major home appliances, has launched a brand new fridge freezer with 6th Sense® technology to keep food fresher for longer.

As part of its Green Generation range, the new freestanding Whirlpool fridge freezer – the WBA 33872 NFC IX – styled in a high quality stainless steel finish with flush handles for a great look, incorporates Whirlpool’s very latest advanced 6th Sense® technology to create the ideal environment for food.

Ensuring the optimal temperature in the fridge at all times Whirlpool’s 6th Sense® monitors the temperature variances and restores them to the correct level up to five times faster than a standard fridge.
Humidity is a very important factor in the preservation of vitamins, antioxidants and other nutritious elements in food and this Whirlpool 6th Sense® Fresh Control refrigerator ensures the optimum environment, temperature and humidity conditions by circulating chilled air at the ideal humidity throughout the fridge so foods such as fruit and vegetables, cheese and salad to remain as fresh as the day it was bought up to four times longer.

Dalia Haddad, Product Marketing Manager for Whirlpool, says: “Proper food preservation and the reduction of food waste are hugely important topics in the current economic climate, and are rapidly climbing the list of purchasing priorities among an increasing number of people.

“We take food preservation incredibly seriously and, by using our advanced 6th Sense® Fresh Control technology, this very latest Whirlpool refrigeration design enables us to take this to yet another level, keeping food fresher for up to four times longer.

“Our 6th Sense® Fresh Control technology is as much a help to the environment as it is to saving the consumer precious energy and money. We are very proud that our latest models, including the WBA 33872, have been certified by independent testing and certification institute, SLG Prüf und Zertifizierungs GmbH, in Germany.”
