WHIRLPOOL LAUNCHES NEW 6TH SENSE® INDUCTION HOB

Whirlpool’s latest addition to their built-in hob range is a new, innovative induction hob with the benefit of the company’s exceptional 6th Sense® technology. The new ACM 750 BA hob is at the forefront of induction technology, offering maximum control and efficiency with energy savings of up to 20%.

The new 60 cm three-zone induction hob with touch control has an extensive choice of power levels, and probably the widest available on the market. This makes the hob very precise and perfect for cooking the most delicate of recipes from Hollandaise, melting chocolate to deep fat frying.

The smart 6th Sense® technology operates with extreme precision and versatility.
6th Sense® function senses the temperature of the pan and adjusts the power level to reach boiling point rapidly. An acoustic signal lets you know when the water has boiled; the power is automatically reduced to keep the pan at a constant temperature or turning off instantly should the pan be in danger of boiling dry. However, cleverly the boiling point is maintained even when additional ingredients are added to the pan.

The modular induction surface includes an ingenious Flexible Zone that combines two zones, one at the back to one at the front for a larger cooking area. Designed to accommodate large pasta pans or a fish kettle it operates with the same intelligence as an individual zone.

Whirlpool’s new induction hob boasts a new benchmark in time saving. The patented booster function of up to 5,000 Watts is the first on the market, and reaches temperature faster than an equivalent hob with standard booster (3700 Watt). The Booster function boils 2.5 litres of water in just four minutes – a time saving of up to 30%*

“The induction market shows strong growth with the consumer realising the many benefits of switching from gas. Induction hobs are smart, fast, and extremely controllable and resource-efficient. Our new induction hob is ideal for the 21st century consumer, providing smart instant control and speed energy efficiently in their hectic and demanding lifestyle,” comments Simona Bara, Product Marketing Manager Built in for Whirlpool.

The hob boasts a smart display with leading-edge, user-friendly, touch-sensitive slide controls for very precise and immediate power. The digital display lights immediately to show which zones and functions are in use.
