These Three Rooms – These are the top UK interior design trends – according to Google

We always keep an eye on the latest interior design trends, not only because of our line of work, but because it’s good to know whether our own tastes are on-trend and for inspiration for our homes too. This article from These Three Rooms takes you through the top five interior design trends of this year and showcases how you can recreate the popular looks within your home.

The 2020 trends included in the article are: shabby chic, industrial style, maximalism, contemporary design and the French farmhouse look. Shabby chic has been a growing trend for a few years, with the rise of upcycling and vintage styles. Our favourite item from the article is the distressed bedside table (pictured above); it’s just perfect for bringing the shabby chic trend to life!

We’re very familiar with the industrial style as many of our clients offer products that suit this trend to a tee. The Hotpoint Class 9 built-in cooking collection and Indesit Aria built-in cooking range both have black glass finishes, which looks fantastic in industrial style kitchens! These appliances also work really well in kitchens with a contemporary design as they complement sleek lines, neutral shades and simple looks.

Maximalism isn’t something we’ve dared to try in our own homes yet, but we love the bold interiors included within this round-up of the trend, particularly the mustard and navy blue themed living room! The French farmhouse look is slightly more understated but equally as beautiful. To be honest, there isn’t anything we dislike in this article, which is why it just had to be featured in our Favourite Articles blog post this week!
